Legacie appoints managing director to oversee national expansion

Gavin Currie has joined the Liverpool developer from Bancon Construction, where he was also managing director.

Legacie Developments said that Currie would oversee the company’s national expansion.

Currie has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry and previously worked for John Laing Construction, The Miller Group, John Sisk and Son, and Dandara.

Legacie has several active projects in the North West, including the £90m Parliament Square residential scheme in Baltic Triangle and Element the Quarter, which will have 450 apartments when complete.

Working with RWinvest, Legacie is also building a 196-apartment development in Salford Quays.

“Legacie has developed a strong name in the construction of large scale commercial and residential developments and has really strong plans for the future,” Currie said. “I am looking forward to getting into the role and supporting John and the team as we continue to deliver in the North West and as we move into new territories such as Luton and London. It is an exciting time for the company.”

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Gavin to the team as our new managing director,” said Legacie founder John Morley. “He is  extremely experienced and will be a great asset to the business as we look to expand across the UK.”
