Lawyers keeping Redbridge busy
Manchester-based Redbridge Interiors reported three contract wins totaling £1.5m with professional firms in Manchester and Oldham.
Law firm Mellor Hargreaves is refurbishing premises in Back King Street, Oldham to provide the expanding solicitors with additional office space. Redbridge achieved planning consent from Oldham Council for the change of use of this previous dance studio. The project involves a new roof and windows and internally a full strip out of the fabric including staircases and internal walls. There will be new air conditioning, lighting, electric, data, carpet, redecorating and a new reception area.
Kristen Grimshaw, practice manager, Mellor Hargreaves said: "We are hoping that the new office space will allow us to expand at a steady rate whilst providing a relaxing and contemporary working environment for our staff. Redbridge's ideas for the re-development of Back King Street have been excellent and have guided us through the through the entire process making such a massive project very stress free."
Redbridge has completed the fit-out of another law firm, newly founded, EOS Law, at 82 King Street, established by former DLA Piper partner, Simon Woolley.
Thirdly, Redbridge is refurbishing St Johns Buildings Chambers, at 24A to 28 St Johns Street. The 33-week programme of works to the three early 19th century grade II listed buildings has involved planning approval, design, spatial planning and a full refurbishment. The project is due for completion in November this year.
