Law firm takes space at Ship Canal House

Stripes Solicitors has signed for 6,421 sq ft at Catalyst Capital's Ship Canal House at 98 King Street in Manchester's business district.

The deal, secured on a ten year lease at £24/sq ft, will see the law firm relocate from its existing base on John Dalton Street, to join the likes of Fortis Bank and Liverpool Victoria Insurance, which signed for 4,000 sq ft on the 9th floor of the building in July.

Will Kennon, of CBRE's North West office, said: "Ship Canal House, one of the city's most renowned buildings, has now successfully attracted three high profile tenants since its refurbishment. It is anticipated that further demand will follow in the coming months thanks to the range of floorplates available which can accommodate requirements from around 2,500 sq ft up to entire floors of 10,000 sq ft. In total, 55,000 sq ft remains available for immediate occupation."

CB Richard Ellis and GVA Grimley are joint letting agents on Ship Canal House.
