Hillyer McKeown has agreed a three-year lease at Capital & Centric’s Tempest for its new Liverpool office.
The launch of a 1,500 sq ft Liverpool branch follows the opening of a Chester office in June.
The Liverpool team will deliver corporate, employment, property and litigation services as well as family law.
Hillyer McKeown employs 65 people across Chester, North Wales and Wirral.
Paul Marsh, the Hillyer McKeown partner who will manage the Liverpool office, said: “Tempest is the ideal location from which to further grow our ties with the business community in Liverpool.
“We want our commercial clients to see us as a trusted business advisor as much as their legal partner. Over the coming months, we will be rolling out a number of additional service lines which will enable us to build broader and long-term relationships with our clients.”
The 40,000 sq ft Tempest building in Liverpool’s commercial district was acquired by Capital & Centric from Derwent Lodge Properties in April 2013 after being left derelict for a number of years. The office is currently undergoing a £5m refurbishment and is due to complete later this month.
A £2.4m grant from European Regional Development Fund part-funded the project, which is due to complete by the end of July.
Last month the developer announced a 3,500 sq ft letting to its first tenant in the building, business incubator Launch22.
According to Capital & Centric, further tenants are to be announced shortly which will take the building to 40% let.

Sustainability Inc is the contractor for the refurbishment, while the architect is SixTwo.
Keppie Massie and CBRE are the agents on Tempest. Quoting rent is around £13/sq ft.
