The 409 projects, which altogether have bid for £2.68bn will now be assessed by the Independent Advisory Panel, chaired by Lord Heseltine, over the summer. The panel will then make recommendations to a Ministerial Group, led by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, that will make the final decisions as to which proposals should receive funding.
It is expected that the successful bidders will be announced in the autumn.
When do we get to find out who has submitted applications? I hope we don’t only get to know who is successful.
