Buile, part of the Manchester-based Crosslane group of companies, has been granted planning permission for a new student property development in Liverpool valued at £20m.
The Vauxhall Road development will have 314 bedrooms and nine studio flats, and is set to be completed August 2015. The project will replace a glassworks which is scheduled for demolition in March.
James Metcalf, one of the founders of Crosslane, said: "We pride ourselves on developing student accommodation in desirable locations to an excellent standard.
"Liverpool is a dynamic and exciting city with growing numbers of students looking for new, purpose-built facilities.
"The demand for student accommodation is increasing and these projects provide consistently positive and stable returns. Last year, Liverpool's city centre student population swelled to 50,000. This project has the additional benefits of diversifying our UK footprint and building our portfolio of projects."
