Langtree refurb pays off as Eccles space lets

The Warrington-based developer and property management business said that its strategy of revitalising tired industrial estates continues to reap dividends, after 9,000 sq ft was let at Lyntown Trading Estate.

Two units have been let in the months following the acquisition of the site by a Langtree fund management client, which triggered the start of a refurbishment programme.

Kathryn Smart, group senior property manager at Langtree, said: “We’re pleased that the market has responded so quickly to our refurbishment work.

“Whatever the size of a business, its premises make a statement about it and by bringing our asset management focus to Lyntown Trading Estate we are making it an easier choice for ambitious firms.”

IT asset disposal specialist The Giga Group and fleet repair specialist Total Fleet UK have taken two refurbished units on the estate totalling 8,952 sq ft.  Two further units are under offer and the last remaining available unit, comprising 6,000 sq ft, will be refurbished in line with wider plans for the estate, which include improved signage, landscaping and security fencing.

Laura Wilbourn, surveyor at retained agent Colliers International, added: “I am delighted to be working alongside Langtree in driving the refurbishment of Lyntown Trading Estate and the initial success of lettings on the estate is extremely positive. We expect high demand for the remaining units.”

Langtree acts in an asset management capacity for a number of investment funds, along with its own holdings, and currently manages more than 2.3m sq ft of space across the North West, Midlands and Yorkshire.
