Langtree lets warehouse facility at Venture Point

The Forshaw Group has opened a new 3,500 sq ft premises at Langtree's Venture Point East warehouse development in Speke, south Liverpool.

The new facility was officially opened by Cllr Warren Bradley, leader of Liverpool City Council.

The Forshaw Group was founded in 1948 and works with insurance companies and loss adjusters to renovate commercial and residential property damaged by fire or flood.

Liam Hanlon, director of The Forshaw Group, said: "This new facility provides us with even greater capacity to respond to incidents as they emerge from around the region. We have invested heavily in new 'magicomm' computerised cataloguing and reporting technology which ensures every single item we remove from a location is added to a central inventory automatically.

"These inventories are made available immediately via our secure online server to both the insured party and the insurance company removing the possibility of disputes arising.

"These items are then treated, stored carefully in our new secure warehouse, before being either returned to the original owners or carefully and sustainably disposed of following agreement between the owner and their insurer."

Cllr Warren Bradley added: "It is encouraging to see a Liverpool-based company continuing to invest in new technology and new premises. It demonstrates that despite the recession there remain good companies built on solid foundations which are investing for the future."

This move is the latest stage of The Forshaw Group's ambitions growth strategy. This year the company has already opened new premises in Greater Manchester, Cheshire and North Wales to add to the company's Liverpool headquarters.

The Forshaw Group has taken a three-year lease on the building.

Venture Point is a development of over 67,000 sq ft of warehouse and light industrial property by Newton-le-Willows based developer Langtree Group.
