Langtree lets phase one of Openshaw industrial estate

Langtree has signed three more occupiers at its industrial scheme, The City Works, in Openshaw, taking the site to fully let and triggering the start of phase two.

Millennium Nails took 2,478 sq ft, Chopra Properties 3,518 sq ft and Tube UK 3,698 sq ft in the last three deals of the 97,000 sq ft first phase.

Tony O'Keefe, industrial director at DTZ, joint agent with P3, said: "This development by Langtree has been a terrific success and a tremendous good news story for East Manchester.

"Langtree is keen to continue the momentum generated on site in terms of attracting occupiers and has recently commenced construction on phase two of The City Works scheme. Significantly, this is the only industrial scheme currently being developed in East Manchester, which is refreshing in light of current market conditions."

The next phase will see 17 small units ranging from 2,500 sq ft to 5,500 sq ft available from the end of December 2008.
