LandSec signs John Lewis in Chester

Land Securities has exchanged contracts to open a 60,000 sq ft John Lewis At Home store in Chester, the first of the concept to open in the North of England.

The new John Lewis will trade over two floors at Land Securities' Greyhound Retail Park in Sealand Road. The park currently includes DFS, Dreams and Dunelm.

The developer is also delivering a John Lewis At Home in Exeter, the company announced at BCSC 2010 today.

Andy Street, managing director of John Lewis, said: "These shops are our fifth and sixth 'at home' shops and we look forward to working closely with Land Securities to enhance the shopping offer in both cities. Our new shops will create almost 400 jobs for the regions and provide shoppers with eaccess to a John Lewis.
