Lancashire site bought for £50m scheme

Developer Salmon Harvester has bought a major site in Leigh to make way for a £50m mixed-use project.

The 12.7-acre site is a former radiator factory site located in Leigh, Lancashire, opposite Spinning Gate Shopping Centre.

Salmon Harvester, following an exchange of contracts with Quinn Group to buy the site, will submit a planning application to Wigan Council later this year after discussions with local stake holders.

Plans include a large supermarket, multiplex cinema, restaurants and other commercial uses.
