Lancashire construction framework announced
Contractors have been selected for Lancashire County Council's £120m strategic framework agreement for construction.
The framework runs until 2018, and will include both new build and refurbishment projects from £100,000 to £15m in value.
There are four lot sizes divided by value, ranging from £100,000 to £15m.
In the first lot, for projects between £100,000 to £750,000, the winners were:
- Warden Construction, Kirkham
- Carefoot Construction, Longridge
- F Parkinson, Blackpool
In the second lot, with a contract value of between £500,000 and £1.5m, the selected contractors were:
- Keepmoat, Leyland
- John Turner, Grimsargh
- F Parkinson, Blackpool
Contractors selected for projects between £1m and £5m in value were:
- Conlon, Bamber Bridge
- Carefoot Construction, Longridge
- John Turner, Grimsargh
For the highest value projects of between £4.5m and £15m, the winners were:
- Keepmoat, Leyland
- Conlon, Bamber Bridge
The decision for two further lots, relating to works with a value of between £25,000 and £150,000 and landscaping projects, is expected in July.
Longridge-based building company Walter Carefoot & Sons is on the agreement for the third successive time, and said that its first project will be £1.9m of works to Moorside Primary School in Lancaster.

Carefoot is also on framework panels with Bolton Council and Cheshire East Council.
