Laming joins former colleagues at Turleys
Richard Laming has completed his move to Turley Associates and will now join two former colleagues from GVA in running an economic analysis team based in its Manchester office.
Antony Pollard and Matt Spilsbury moved from GVA to Turleys in April.
The new Turleys team will produce economic impact assessment studies and test development viability for clients to help drive planning strategy.
Laming said: "Delivering economic growth remains a firm commitment of the Government.
"Developers are increasingly requiring integrated town planning and economic planning advice to prove the economic contribution of their scheme.
"Turley Associates now offers this totally integrated service."
Turley Associates chief executive Rob Lucas said: "The Economic Planning team has made a real impact since April with a number of notable successes for our clients across the country.
"We have plans to expand this area of business further and are on the look-out for very capable consultants."
Laming and the team have delivered economic planning services for private and public clients across the UK, including creating an economic strategy and action plan for West Cumbria, the preparation of an alternative core strategy for Aylesbury Vale, an assessment of Greater Manchester's housing market, the preparation of West Belfast's development framework, preparing CIL representations and providing housing evidence to support new settlements and urban extensions.
