Lake District hotel sold

The Lane Head Farm Country Guest House at Troutbeck near Keswick in the Lake District has been sold from an asking price of £695,000, by real estate advisor Colliers International.

The property with seven en-suite bedrooms and owner's accommodation was acquired by Andy and Mandy Aldon and their business partner Pawel Stolarcyzk.

The specialist hotels team at Colliers International in Manchester acted on behalf of vendors Mark and Josette Bayley who are retiring from the industry.

Haydn Spedding, associate director at Colliers International, said: "The sale of Lane Head Farm is indicative of increasing confidence in the hospitality sector fuelled by the improving economic climate and an excellent 2014 for such businesses in the Lake District."
