KPMG re-signs at Princes Dock

The professional services giant, the longest-standing tenant at the building, has signed a five-year lease extension on its 12,000 sq ft at No 8 Princes Dock, Liverpool.

KPMG has been resident in the five-storey office building since 1997, pre-dating Peel’s ownership and the rebranding of the waterfront as Liverpool Waters. The deal will take it to the quarter century mark.

Chris Fry, who will step down as senior partner at KPMG in Liverpool at the end of this year, said: “KPMG has had a presence in Liverpool for over 90 years, so I’m delighted to reaffirm our commitment to the region with the renewal of the lease at our Princes Dock home.

“Over the two decades that we’ve been at Liverpool Waters, we’ve seen the area grow into a vibrant and diverse business community. In the new year, we welcome our new senior partner Euan West, to our Liverpool office, and I know that he will continue to lead our business from this base to even greater success.”

Liza Marco, asset manager at Liverpool Waters, said: “KPMG is our longest standing tenant and as one of the world’s leading financial organisations, this lease renewal is not just good news for Liverpool Waters, it’s fantastic for the city region too.”
