Knowsley Start moves to Huyton industrial estate

Charity Knowsley Start has purchased an 11,215 sq ft unit at Huyton Interchange Industrial Estate for £315,000.

The charity, which trains special needs and young people with learning difficulties, has moved to a facility near to its original site on Link Business Park.

Phil Morley, associate director in Jones Lang LaSalle's Manchester office, who advised Knowsley Start on the deal, said: "To date Knowsley Start has been split over two sites, and this purchase means that it's training and administrative functions can now operate from one location which is still close to its current premises. A planning application was submitted for a change of use from B1/B2 to D1 which was granted in July 2010 which has made this relocation possible."
