Knight Frank markets BSC’s Sarah Point

The Manchester office of Knight Frank has been appointed by KPMG to secure a buyer for the partially completed Sarah Point apartment and office block in the city's Northern Quarter.

The development comprises 139 one, two, three and four-bed flats, 20,000sq ft of office space on the ground floor and basement car parking.

The scheme, on the corner of Great Ancoats Street and Jersey Street, was one of several schemes by Bashar Issa's BSC Group.

The development was being built by the group's construction division, BS Developments Ltd, which recently went into administration. David Costley-Wood and Richard Fleming of KPMG LLP were appointed joint administrators.

David Clifton, senior surveyor at Knight Frank Manchester, said: "Although it's very early days, there has been an encouraging level of initial bid interest in the development and we very much hope to conclude a successful sale."

The building was recently damaged by a fire in the basement.
