Klarius doubles airport office

Automotive firm Klarius Group has agreed a deal with MAG Developments to expand its head office in Voyager at Manchester Airport.

Klarius manufactures and distributes automotive components in 136 countries. It relocated from Blackpool to Voyager in August 2010 and has now double its presence to around 6,000 sq ft.

Tony Wilson, Chairman of Klarius Group, said: "One of the main reasons for choosing Voyager was down to the convenience and connectivity factors for our staff and clients – it's literally a two-minute walk from platform to desk, or if you need to get a flight, five minutes to check-in. We just held our pan-European marketing meeting in the office and staff could fly in from across Europe, join the meeting and be within walking distance of various hotels at the airport."

Voyager is located next to the airport's ground transport interchange, where works to bring a new Metrolink tramline linking Manchester Airport to the surrounding South Manchester conurbations is underway, complementing the existing rail, bus and coach services.

CB Richard Ellis and WHR Property Consultants advised on the deal.
