Kingsley upbeat as recovery drives recruitment

Kingsley Associates, the property, legal and engineering recruitment consultancy, is forecasting its strongest ever financial year after a record breaking first half of 2014.

The family-run company, with its head office in Liverpool and operating throughout the UK, saw sales increase by more than 300% between January and June 2014 compared to the same period last year.

The company now employs 12 staff, with plans to increase by a further four to six by the end of the year, across all disciplines.

Andrew Kingsley, director, said: "Whilst the improvement in the economic climate has been evident since the last quarter of 2013 which has obviously helped our performance, we have also retained and recruited a strong, dedicated and professional team as well as securing new clients and developing relationships with existing clients."

He continued: "As the market improves, the number of existing and new clients seeking professional candidates is much greater. Furthermore, the quality of candidates from graduate to director level, who have registered with ourselves and are actively seeking new career opportunities is astonishing and much stronger than 12 months ago.

"The company has come a long way in a relatively short period of time and it's a credit to the whole team for all the hard work and progress they have made but we need to take full advantage of the momentum and are in the process of securing new team members in the following weeks to sustain such growth."

Kingsley added: "The majority of our work is a direct reflection in the upturn of the market, particularly related to the residential and commercial property and construction market. There has been a dramatic increase in placing technical professionals such as quantity and building surveyors, project managers, structural engineers and business development managers. Also, we have satisfied demand for valuation and agency surveyors as well as property management surveyors which again is a reflection in market activity.

"Our legal team has seen a large upturn in demand and placements of professionals at all levels, particularly in conveyancing, commercial property, planning and private client roles. Also, our business support team has benefitted from the enhanced need for financial and administration roles to support the technical and professional recruitment drives."

Kingsley Associates was named Best Recruitment Company for the second year running in the City of Liverpool Business Awards 2014 held this week.
