Kier picked for youth justice centre rebuild

Construction firm Kier North West has won a £17.6m contract to redevelop the Redbank Community Home in St Helens for young offenders.

St Helens Council picked Kier for the design and build of the 40,000 sq ft building located on Winwick Road in Newton le Willows.

The development is expected to take three years to complete and is being financed by the council.

The current Redbank home has accommodation for 40 young people from 11 to 18 years old.
