K2 Architects relocates to Liverpool ONE

Liverpool-based K2 Architects has moved its studio to Compton House in Liverpool ONE, relocating from Connect Business Village to the north of the city centre.

The architectural practice signed a five-year lease with Grosvenor Liverpool Fund for 1,500 sq ft of studio space in School Lane, next to the Bluecoat.

Kevin Horton, architect director, said: "Following three successful years, we decided that it was central to our strategic growth to position ourselves within Liverpool's creative culture and provide our team with a flexible, efficient working space with state of the art technology.

"At K2 we are committed to our clients, investing in our business and establishing ourselves as a leading practice within the city and Compton House perfectly aligns with these aspirations.

"We have secured some fantastic opportunities which will take us to the next level of our development and we look forward to this new and exciting chapter in K2's development."

Chris Bliss, estates director at Liverpool ONE, said: "K2 Architects already have an exceptional client base and I hope that their new offices in the heart of the City will help grow their aspirations further. We are always keen to support local businesses, as this in turn drives economic development back into the City of Liverpool and K2 Architects is a great example of this."

K2 was founded in 2009 by Kevin Horton and Mark Davies, both ex-BDP. The company now employs five staff and is looking to take on two additional staff in the next six months.
