Jones to start on next phase of Alsager homes

Jones Homes is aiming to start on the next phase of its Barrington Park development in Alsager in the next four weeks, having secured planning permission for a 28-home extension last summer.

The housebuilder has already been working on the 89-home development just off Dunnocksfold Road, and is now planning to expand the site with an additional 28 houses on a 1.9 acre plot.

These include a mix of two, three, four, and five-bed detached and semi-detached houses, and the housebuilder’s Section 106 agreement for the additional homes includes a £126,000 contribution towards education, public green space, and wildlife habitat enhancement.

Completed homes at Barrington Park are on the market for between £195,000 and £425,000.

Plans were granted for the latest phase of the development in July last year. Alsager has seen a significant rise in housebuilding in the past year-and-a-half, with plans for the redevelopment of the town’s former Manchester Metropolitan University campus approved in 2016.

This includes 426 houses, which are being brought forward by Barratt and David Wilson homes.
