Jones adds regional director from Rowland

Ralph Bacon has joined Jones Homes as regional director for its Lancashire business after more than 10 years at fellow housebuilder Rowland.

Bacon was previously commercial director at Rowland, having joined the company in 2006, and prior to this he worked for both Crosby Homes and George Wimpey, before its merger with Taylor Woodrow to create Taylor Wimpey.

Based out of Jones Homes’ office in Lytham St Annes, Bacon will oversee the strategic development of the housebuilder’s regional business, with responsibilities including management of land acquisition, planning, building, sales, and customer care.

The first project headed up by Bacon will be the launch of Moorfield Park in Poulton-le-Fylde, while he will also oversee Jones’ first scheme in Cumbria at Stonecross Meadows in Kendal.

The 13-acre site off Milnthorpe Road includes 110 homes and work has already started on a four-year build programme.

Jones Homes managing director Gary Hardy said: “I would like to welcome Ralph to the team.  With his background in the industry, he has expansive knowledge and the experience to successfully lead the business in the Lancashire region.”
