Keppie Massie is an established firm of Surveyors and Property Consultants operating from offices in Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and London.

Due to expansion we are looking to recruit the following staff to work in the Property Management Department:

A hardworking Residential Block Manager to manage a growing client portfolio in the Liverpool area.

Duties to include:

  • Providing exceptional levels of service to key clients including regular reports
  • Visiting sites and ensuring contractors attend to work
  • Managing on site Building Managers / Concierge
  • Preparing and managing service charge budgets
  • Reconciling year-end accounts
  • Experience of residential practices and the law surrounding tenants' rights and obligations
  • Responsible for Health and Safety and risk management
  • Liaising with leaseholders in terms of enquiries and approvals
  • Preparing client quarterly reports
  • Preparing newsletters
  • Dealing with email and telephone enquiries from lessees
  • Inspecting blocks and producing check lists
  • Instructing contractors to handle maintenance issues and small repairs
  • Chasing service charge arrears
  • Assisting the senior property manager and Head of Dept
  • Willingness to attend Residents Meetings (out of hours)
  • Reading and analysing lease issues (training given)
  • Experience of Excel, Outlook, emails
  • Driving licence essential

You will have a keen eye for detail and be used to dealing with clients where service levels are paramount. Experience of specialised property management software systems will be beneficial.

A competitive salary depending upon experience is available. Closing date 28 February 2015.

We are also looking for a Facilities Manager relative to the following criteria and experience:

  • Experience of supplier / contractor management including ordering works, FM related procurement and service level reviews
  • Experience of hard and soft services
  • Utilities management, energy saving and tendering
  • Management of the FM budget for each property
  • Responsible for health and safety across all properties
  • Candidates should have relevant experience in property management or FM
  • Good knowledge and practical experience of Health and Safety and risk management
  • Competent IT skills including Excel, Outlook, emails.
  • Assisting the Senior Property Manager and Head of Dept
  • Inspecting properties and producing check lists and reports
  • Instructing contractors to handle maintenance issues and small repairs
  • Customer facing skills
  • Capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Driving licence essential

In addition, Keppie Massie have launched their graduate scheme for general practice surveying. Areas of work undertaken will include valuation, inspection, Landlord & Tenant together with development appraisals and viability.

Graduates with a RICS accredited degree are required with a strong aptitude in professional practice together with excellent organisation, ICT and interpersonal skills. A full UK driving licence and access to own transport is preferred. The closing date for Graduate applications is 1 April 2015.
