JMW hires partner from DTM

Thomas Pearson joins Manchester-based JMW Solicitors LLP's commercial property team as partner from DTM Legal LLP in Chester, where he was head of property.

Pearson specialises in development within the care and leisure sectors. He will continue to act for client Castlemead Group, which sources, designs, funds and contracts residential, primary healthcare and nursing home developments throughout the UK.

Pearson is currently advising Castlemead on a 75-bed nursing home in Buxton, which is due for completion in 2014.

Castlemead are planning a programme of new build care facilities across the UK with the legal work being undertaken by Pearson at JMW.

JMW's commercial property team recently acted for the Brookhouse Group undertaking all of the legal work leading to the opening of three food store developments at Lowestoft for Morrisons, at Leigh for Sainsburys and at Ystalyfera nr Swansea for Asda.
