JD Sports adds to Bury HQ

JD Sports Fashion has expanded into offices next to its headquarters on Castlebrook Business Park to keep pace with strong trading.

The clothes retailer already occupied 55,000 sq ft at Edinburgh House on Castlebrook and has taken a further 5,683 sq ft in Balmoral House.

Aviva Investors, advised by Rupert Barron, director of office agency at Colliers International in Manchester, let the additional space to JD Sports Fashion on a five-year lease at a headline rent of £13.20/sq ft.

JD Sports now occupies about 75% of Balmoral House, leaving another 5,559 sq ft on the first floor and lower ground floor with car parking available to let. Suites are available from 2,664 sq ft.
