ISG wins Altrincham school contract

ISG has gained a £4.4m project with the Diocese of Shrewsbury to build a new sixth form centre at Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College in Altrincham, Cheshire.

The design of the building, by architectural practice Pozonni, features a three-storey "kidney shaped" structure, which is located on Urban Road.

The standalone 29,000 sq ft centre is being built on the existing site of the school, which plans to stay in use during the construction.

Turner & Townsend's Salford Quays office was appointed to advise Diocese of Shrewsbury on the appointment.

The project is due to commence in mid-October and scheduled for completion in early autumn 2011.
