Irwin Mitchell promotes ex-DLA property advisor

The Manchester office of law firm Irwin Mitchell has announced a round of promotions. Claire Quinn in real estate steps up from associate to partner.

Quinn joined Irwin Mitchell earlier this year as part of a 14-strong team which moved from DLA Piper. She specialises in general non-contentious commercial real estate work for a broad range of commercial clients. She principally acts for Canal & River Trust, formerly British Waterways, Murray Steel, Mapeley, Vue and ITV.

Quinn worked on include ITV's move to Media City UK, Mapeley's investment acquisition of Microsoft's headquarters at Thames Valley Park for £103m and Canal & River Trust's £12m disposal of a site in London.

Irwin Mitchell announced 14 new partners across the country. In Manchester, there are 22 partners, of whom six are in real estate.

Janet Sandford, Manchester-based head of talent and resourcing, was promoted to associate director.

John Pickering, chief executive of Irwin Mitchell, said: "Our business is growing and in a strong position and this round of partnership promotions reflects the breadth of the high quality, innovative services we provide to our clients. One of Irwin Mitchell's strengths is the diversity of its offering and yet again, this announcement reflects that, covering our work with business and private clients."
