Law firm Irwin Mitchell has chosen TSK to design and deliver its new 33,000 sq ft office at One St Peter’s Square ahead of moving into the building in June.
The company is due to relocate from its existing base at Bauhaus in Quay Street, and confirmed the move last month, after it was tipped to take the space by Place North West in October 2017.
Irwin Mitchell’s office, spread over one-and-a-half floors, will be home to more than 250 members of staff, covering its business and personal legal services divisions, and its debt recovery subsidiary Ascent.
TSK will design and fit-out the entire space and will also be responsible for employee engagement as staff move in during the summer.
Sarah Ball, operations director at Irwin Mitchell said: “it is vitally important that our move to new offices provides an environment which enables our people to deliver client service of the highest quality as well as it offering a great place to work that is future proofed to support our vision.
“TSK knew what we were looking for and placed a focus on human centred design that anchors physical, social and mental wellbeing. The team impressed us with their approach of gaining data led insight from our people to inform the decisions which were made.
“We also want a space which builds on the attributes of the One St Peter’s Square building and the qualities of Manchester’s thriving business district.”
Irwin Mitchell joins other tenants at the 288,000 sq ft building including CBRE, WeWork, KPMG, DLA Piper, Addleshaw Goddard, and Mazars.
Savills and GVA were joint agents on the building. while JLL worked for Irwin Mitchell on its search for a new base.
Other projects recently completed by TSK include 101 Embankment for Swinton, and Kellogg’s new headquarters at MediaCity.
