Ion hires from Aecom

Ion Developments, formerly Neptune, has appointed Chris Jones from Aecom as associate director of projects, covering many of the business’s key schemes including Liverpool Lime Street and Earlsfield Park in Knowsley.

Jones will support Ion’s development director Rob Mason, focussing primarily on the new leisure and retail development currently under construction on Lime Street, and further afield the transformation of Wolverhampton Interchange.

He is a chartered surveyor who worked at Aecom for ten years on developments such as Liverpool One, St Paul’s Square, Kingsgate in Birkenhead, Omega North in Warrington and the expansion of the main stand at Anfield Stadium.

Steve Parry, managing director of Ion Development, said: “This is an exciting time for our business – we need to grow our team and Chris marks the start of this process. Chris has come to us with excellent experience on both large budget developments and regeneration projects which makes him a perfect fit for this role. His appointment underlines the strength of our ambition for Ion Development.”
