Interserve strengthens NW management

Interserve has promoted regional construction manager Phil Shaw to associate director at its 80-strong Wigan office.

Shaw joined the company 17 years ago and for the past 10 years has been responsible for delivering projects including the Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, Leighton Hospital in Crewe, the Walton Centre in Liverpool, St Helens College and a number of Building Schools for the Future and academy projects.

In the first three months of 2013 Shaw has overseen starts on £50m of new work commissioned through the Procure 21+ NHS framework.

The Wigan office is headed by divisional director, John Godfrey. There is one other associate director in the North West, Nick Jones, who works on commercial contracts.

Godfrey said: "This is great news for both Phil and our clients, it reinforces the confidence we have in the sustainability of our business and the influence he will have on the continued growth and quality of our operations in the North West."
