Insurer takes space at Ship Canal House

Liverpool Victoria has signed for 4,000 sq ft on the 9th floor of Catalyst Capital's Ship Canal House at 98 King Street in Manchester's business district.

Alastair Miller of LV said: "We looked at a number of buildings in the city, however we identified Ship Canal House at an early stage as the right building to provide an effective working environment for our staff and the best possible profile for our business."

LV joins Fortis Bank and Fidelity in the landmark 65,000 sq ft building. Christopher Cheap, director at GVA Grimley, joint letting agents with CBRE, added: "LV's decision to relocate to Ship Canal House underlines the extensive work undertaken by the landlord, Catalyst Capital LLP and their professional team, in creating contemporary, highly specified office space within one of Manchester's finest historic buildings.

"We have a range of space available within the building totalling 58,000 sq ft at competitive rental levels. Even in the current challenging economic climate it is clear that a quality product will continue to attract occupiers and we hope to announce further transactions in the near future."
