Innov8 wins school work

Construction safety firm Innov8 Safety Solutions has gained new contracts at three primary schools in west Cheshire.

Innov8, which has offices in Birkenhead and Manchester, has signed a deal with Salford-based contractors ISG Construction to provide construction design management at Ashton Hayes Primary School in Chester, Comberbatch Primary School in Northwich, and Wimboldsley Primary School in Middlewich, to build extensions to the main school buildings.

Work has started to remove mobile classroom units, which were used at the three sites since the 1970s.

Innov8 will oversee all health and safety aspects in the £3.5m development.

Alan Robson, Innov8 managing director, said: "Working in partnership with ISG we aim to deliver the highest standard of health and safety legislation with a focus on completing the whole project by the end of the year. We have seen solid and steady growth throughout 2011 and the latest deal expands our expertise across further sectors."

Graeme Moffat, ISG area manager for Merseyside and North Wales, added: "The extensions will enhance the facilities at the school with new features including toilets specially built for reception children."
