Innov8 pays tribute to ‘immensely talented’ workmate

Colleagues at Birkenhead-based construction safety firm Innov8 Safety Solutions have paid tribute to their friend and workmate Gary Campbell, who died of a heart attack aged 27 this week following chemotherapy treatment.

Alan Robson, managing director of Innov8, said the team's thoughts were with Gary's partner Louise and his family and friends. He added: "We are all very shocked and deeply saddened by what has happened to our friend.

Gary Campbell"Gary was immensely talented and it was a privilege to know him and work with him. Although he was undergoing chemotherapy none of us expected this. Gary was full of life and had a tremendously bright future ahead of him, to have that taken away at such a young age is devastating. We extend our deepest condolences and support to Gary's family and loved ones at this difficult time."

Gary worked for Innov8 as a senior safety advisor. He had previously worked in construction industry health and safety roles at Lovell Partnerships, Gleeds Health & Safety and AA Projects.

Gary died at home on Wednesday morning. His funeral will be held in Altrincham.
