IMI Scott relocates in Wythenshawe

Jones Lang LaSalle has advised on the surrender and re-letting of three linked units in Caldey Road on Wythenshawe's Roundthorn Industrial Estate to specialist electrical alloy manufacturer IMI Scott.

The units totalling 55,000 sq ft were formerly home to Myprotein, prior to its acquisition by The Hut Group in June 2011.

Jones Lang LaSalle advised the landlords, Caldey Estate LLP, on the surrender of Myprotein's existing lease, following agreement with IMI Scott, a division of IMI Plc, to acquire the units on a new 10-year lease at £3.65/sq ft. IMI Scott outgrew its previous premises on Ledson Road in Wythenshawe and had been looking to secure a larger space within the area.

Daniel Burn, director of industrial and logistics at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: "This deal has allowed IMI Scott to remain close to its former headquarters which was a key factor for the business as it wanted to ensure its skilled employees could still travel to work as easily as before.

"The lease itself represents a great deal for all parties, a good exit for Myprotein and a well-established and successful new tenant for Caldey Estate LLP."

P3 advised The Hut Group and Howell Brooks & Partners acted on behalf of IMI Scott.
