Image revealed of next Circle Square office

Bruntwood SciTech is set to host a public consultation later this month as it seeks to submit a planning application for the latest 220,000 sq ft Circle Square office by the autumn.

The 50:50 joint venture between Bruntwood and Legal & General announced in May it was bringing forward plans for the £56m office at its mixed-use development on Manchester’s Oxford Road, while already on site with the 150,000 sq ft No.1 and 210,000 sq ft No.2, due to complete next year. The developer cited “exceptional levels of interest” in the offices, which were set to be delivered in phases.

The 12-storey block is designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley. The ground floor is set to include a welcome area with retail and amenities, while cycle and shower facilities, a private garden space and a rooftop terrace are also included within the design.

The consultation will be held from Tuesday 23 July from 3.30pm to 7.30pm at Manchester Technology Centre. At the same time the designs can also be viewed at www.circlesquaremanchester.com

Design cannot be undertaken in isolation, we need the people that make spaces to shape places and so the insights and observations we receive at the event and online will play a pivotal role in shaping our design and therefore our planning application.”

Following the consultation, a planning application is set to be submitted in autumn with the aim of work on site starting in early 2020 ahead of completion in April 2022.

When complete, Circle Square, being delivered alongside Vita Group, will include 1,700 homes, 1.2 million sq ft of workspace and over 100,000 sq ft of retail and leisure set around a park.
