Illingworth leads retail switch to Cushmans

The former Donaldsons retail agency team in Manchester, now part of DTZ, is leaving to join Cushman & Wakefield as it seeks to strengthen its growing office.

Matt Illingworth joins as partner, with Andrew Hynes as associate and Sammy Jones as a negotiator. Jones has already started at the C&W office on King Street and Illingworth and Hynes will arrive after the New Year.

Martin Acton, partner and head of northern retail agency at Cushman & Wakefield, said: "Matthew, Andrew and Sammy will be great assets within our National Retail Agency team and bring with them considerable experience of key markets in the North. Securing these appointments is a real coup for Cushman & Wakefield and further strengthens our position as the leading National Retail Agency team in the UK."

C&W recently announced plans to relocate from Property Alliance Group's Pinnacle building to Wrather Group's Zenith scheme on Spring Gardens two years after opening its Manchester office.
