Ibis proposed for Ten Streets
Crossfield Exclusive Developments has submitted plans for a 167-bedroom Ibis hotel at Bramley-Moore Dock in Liverpool.
The 17,000 sq ft site sits within the Northern Gateway, one of six zones mapped out in the 125-acre Ten Streets area earmarked for regeneration by Liverpool City Council.
The nine-storey hotel will be located close to Everton FC’s proposed new stadium and will be built around some of the existing buildings on the site that face Regent Road. The remaining units on the plot will be demolished.
An 87-space multi-storey car park will also be included in the scheme.
The proposed hotel is to be operated by Accor under its Ibis Styles brand and will join other Styles hotels in the North West including the 229-bedroom hotel on Portland Street, Manchester.
Plans have been drawn up by architect Brock Carmichael. Zerum is the planner and Clancy has consulted on structural engineering.
What happened to the council’s idea of siting the world’s first high velocity rotating theatre in the Ten Streets area? Hopefully the planners left enough of a gap to mitigate against this building being sucked into the ensuing vortex.

Great to see Ibis kicking off development in the North Shore area beyond the Titanic Hotel. They were one of the first in at the south docks in the 1980s, and they now have a hugely profitable hotel sitting on one of the most valuable sites in Liverpool opposite the Royal Albert Dock. Ten Streets/North Shore will go the same way. It’ll be like the Baltic Triangle. It has just as many assets.

There’s already an Ibis Styles in Liverpool (Dale Street), so this would be at least the third in the NW.

@Liverpolitan – it has more assets … once you go down those side streets there’s tons of good buildings hidden away, way more than the Baltic. Has the potential to be a very very exciting part of the city centre.
