IBI Taylor Young wins college contest

IBI Taylor Young has won a £190,000 contract to design an advanced technology building for Blackpool & Fylde College's Bispham campus.

The project is dependent on a successful application to the Skills Funding Agency's College Capital Investment Fund. The next funding application is due to be submitted in September.

If delivered, the facility would be the latest in a series of developments by the college which has already completed an £8.2m nautical training centre in Fleetwood and a university centre in Blackpool.

The Bispham campus is the college's largest with more than 10 buildings, home to a gaming academy, an automotive centre and a construction school among others.

The building is expected to take up to four years to complete.

IBI Taylor Young has offices in Handforth and Liverpool.
