Hurricane Court takes off for Gladman

Lettings agents on Gladman Developments's 80,000 sq ft office complex in South Liverpool said half the space had been let or put under offer within six months of launch.

The scheme contains 20 units from 1,035 sq ft to 25,500 sq ft and success so far includes deals with Kinetics, a housing maintenance contractor, marketer Mark Holloway and engineering consultant Wardell Armstrong. Several further units are under offer.

Gladman has also sold units including the 25,000 sq ft Hurricane House to Pinder Fry & Benjamin and clients of Assetz in separate deals.

Outside Hurricane Court, Gladman has a 421,500 sq ft building, Estuary Point, available to let nearby.

John Brown, surveyor at joint letting agent Knight Frank, said: "It's not just the location and price that have attracted people but we did some proactive marketing and had an open morning on site to show local companies around. That generated a lot of interest as people could see they weren't just upgrading but had views over the river and great access to the motorway network."

Quoting prices are £14/ sq ft rental or £165/sq ft purchase.

Irving Rice are joint agents with Knight Frank.
