HOW Planning moves Suckley up to partner

Manchester-based HOW Planning has announced promotions, a new appointment and plans to hire new staff.

Jon Suckley, who has been with HOW for eight years, was promoted from associate to partner. He becomes the third partner in the firm alongside founder Gary Halman and Richard Woodford.

Conor Vallelly moves from senior planner to principal planner.

Hilary Brett is promoted from environmental consultant to senior environmental consultant.

Liz Lees joined the growing environmental team as senior environmental consultant from the Manchester office of construction management company, Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Gary Halman, partner at HOW Planning, said: "We have taken a very significant step with Jon's promotion to partner, which – along with our other internal promotions and Liz's appointment – further strengthens our team and will help us achieve our longer term aims. Although we are still in what are considered to be challenging times, we believe these to be very positive changes for HOW and will help us meet our ambitious targets for the future."
In addition to the new appointments, HOW said it will hire two graduates or newly qualified planners.

Halman added: "We have a strong company vision, which includes a commitment to the training and development of young professionals and as such we are looking to create more opportunities for graduates and young planners to join our growing team."

HOW Planning was established in 2001 and employs 16 staff.
