HOW hires four

Manchester-based HOW Planning has added four staff to its team, bringing the total number employed at the planning consultancy to 22.

Principal planner Phil Grant joined from Axis P.E.D. where he specialised in infrastructure and energy projects, prior to which he spent nine years with Drivers Jonas Deloitte.

Emma Perrin joined from RSK as environmental planner, and will work with principal environmental planner Chris Peacock.

Two new graduates were recruited: Emma Williams moved from Peel as a planning assistant and Lee Shaw from Sheffield University, to work in HOW's specialist retail planning team.

Gary Halman, managing partner at HOW Planning, said: "The past 12 months have been hugely busy for HOW with major projects such as the Horwich Vision scheme and Lateral Properties' Five Town Parks development in Castleford reaching critical points, as well as a number of high profile appointments being made on significant schemes in Manchester city centre and others across the North West."
