Housing plans in for Rossendale football ground

Euan Kellie Property Solutions has submitted an outline planning application to Rossendale Council on behalf of local property company Culzean Developments, seeking approval for the redevelopment of land partly occupied by the derelict stadium previously used by Rossendale United FC.

The football stadium was last used by non-league Rossendale United in 2011 and was badly damaged by a fire in 2012. Since this time the site has become derelict.

The proposals, designed by Halliday Meecham Architects, seek approval for up to 100 residential units, along with a dedicated children’s play area, and include access off Dark Lane.

As part of the proposed development a financial contribution will be made by the applicant which will deliver a replacement playing pitch at Marl Pits Leisure Centre in Rossendale.

A planning decision is expected in the first quarter of 2017.

the homes you plan to build do not fit in with the other homes and are putting the prices of homes already inhabited down and do not fit the theme of other homes in the area they will stand out too much and be an obstruction of view and the amount of bedrooms may want to increase due to too many families having to have children share rooms of booth sexes
