Housing organisations appoint Beever & Struthers

Manchester-based Beever & Struthers has been appointed to provide internal audit work for Chester and District Housing Trust and business assurance services for Adullam Homes Housing Association.

David Hunter, partner at Beever & Struthers, said: "Chester and District Housing Trust and Adullam Homes are welcome additions to our already strong portfolio of clients. The business assurance division goes from strength to strength and despite the effects of the downturn on the housing sector we're looking forward to a busy 2010."

Chester and District Housing Trust was established in November 2000 to receive the transfer of more than 6,900 properties from Chester City Council. It currently has around 14,000 tenants.

The appointment of accountants and business advisors Beever & Struthers is initially for one year to assist the in-house team at the trust with completion of its internal audit plan work because the internal audit manager has been reassigned to other duties.

West Bromwich-based Adullam Homes has more than 756 units of accommodation and employs over 200 full and part time staff, in projects and offices across the Midlands, Merseyside and the North West. Its turnover for 2007/2008 was almost £10m.
