Housing application for Cheshire Business Park

HOW Planning has submitted an application to Cheshire West & Cheshire Council for a 12.5-acre residential scheme in Lostock Gralam, outside Northwich.

The development site is owned by Commercial Development Projects. HOW previously secured planning permission to convert a separate piece of land within the business park to residential use.

The new application seeks approval for 155 residential dwellings on a second piece of land, which has existing planning permission for offices.

Carol Clarke, associate at HOW, said: "This scheme has been developed in close consultation with the local community and Parish Council, who have been very supportive and are looking forward to seeing this piece of land being developed. It will significantly contribute to meeting the council's five-year housing supply needs on what is a very sustainable site."

The proposal includes plans for a mix of terraced, semi-detached, town houses and detached properties, but the masterplan allows sufficient flexibility for the layout to be altered in line with market demand.

The application allows for up to 30% affordable housing.
