Homes England expands in Liverpool

The Government housing body is building its presence in Liverpool by taking an entire floor at One Mann Island.

Homes England moved staff into a section of the 11th floor on a short-term basis, subletting the space from Merseytravel.

Following a successful trial, the Government body will now extend its footprint to take the entire floor of around 11,000 sq ft, again subletting from Merseytravel.

Some Merseytravel members of staff will be required to relocate to the Georges Dock Building to accommodate Homes England’s expansion. Around 20 staff from Merseytravel’s asset management team will be required to move, although most of these work out of the office.

Customer information staff based at One Mann Island will also move, bringing the whole of Merseytravel’s customer services into one location.

CBRE is the agent at One Mann Island.

They never take office space in the neighbourhoods that they’re supposed to support do they? Shiny A Grade office space that would have been better deployed by an inward investor or private company looking to expand.
