The hotel and licensed property team at the Manchester office of Colliers International has sold Ellen Hall Cottages, near of Gilcrux in Cockermouth in Cumbria.
Colliers acted on behalf of the vendor David Dunlop, who is retiring to live close by and sold his cottages at an undisclosed price. The buyers of Ellen Hall Cottages are Wayne and Jo Flower, moving to Gilcrux from Salisbury, Wiltshire.
The Flowers have bought seven holiday cottages and a character three-bedroom house in landscaped gardens with a small stream running through.
Haydn Spedding, associate director at Colliers, said: "We have several self-catering complexes on our books and have also agreed a sale of another that is in the hands of solicitors.
"The sale of Ellen Hall Cottages reflects continuing interest in the market for self-catering cottages that provides a fantastic quality of life with a successful business in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
"David Dunlop has successfully traded the business since 2003. Wayne and Jo Flower move to Ellen Hall from Salisbury where they were partners in their family farm."
