HKR’s Jacques joins Sheppard Robson
Architect Nigel Jacques has joined his third practice in a year after leaving HKR to become an associate partner in the Manchester office of Sheppard Robson.
Jacques joined HKR Manchester as a director from Carey Jones in the spring. He previously worked for HOK International in London on Heathrow Terminal 3.
A strong year for Sheppard Robson’s has seen the practice work on high profile projects including 3 Hardman Street at Spinningfields, The Rosebowl for the University of Leeds, and the new North West headquarters for law firm Halliwells.
Jacques commented: “Sheppard Robson is an award winning architecture practice and I am thrilled to be joining the Manchester office. Despite the economic downturn, they are continuing to win large contracts and I relish the opportunity to be involved in such an innovative and skilled team.”
Ian Butler, who leads Sheppard Robson’s Manchester office, added: “Our portfolio of work is gathering momentum in the North thanks to the hard work and dedication of our team – not to mention the determination of the region’s developers in the face of the economic crisis. We are delighted to have Nigel on board, his experience and knowledge is a fantastic addition to the office.”
