Himor hires as Carrington proposals approved

The developer has made a series of appointments including Andrew Bain, who departs Kier to become project director.

Bain has delivered regeneration projects such as Rochdale Council’s 85,000 sq ft Number One Riverside; Oldham Council’s leisure estate and cultural regeneration programme and city centre apartment schemes such as The Green Quarter in Manchester.

Joining Bain at Himor is Matt Hatchard as estates surveyor from Assura, and Liz Percival as graduate in the land and property team from David Wilson Homes.

Himor has promoted Mark Booth to finance director and Paul Wrigglesworth to property director.

The recruitment and promotions follow Trafford Council’s decision last month to approve Himor’s first planning applications for the Carrington regeneration project.

Darren Jones, managing director of Himor, said: “Our team has been praised for its vision and professionalism in bringing forward plans for phase one of Future Carrington. Bringing Bain, Hatchard and Percival into the fold will give us increased firepower to deliver further housing and employment destinations over the coming years.”

Himor is based in Carrington.

Whatever your plans, do not forget the current residents of Carrington, and inconvenience to them this development will cause. We have had great upheaval over the past few years. Make sure you give utmost consideration to them
