HIMOR adds to land buying team

Manchester-based land and property company HIMOR has recruited Paul Stanley as senior associate in its land team.

Stanley was formerly senior strategic land manager at Barratt Homes concentrating on the North West and West Midlands.

HIMOR, which has around 450 acres in its land portfolio currently, said the appointment showed the company's "determination to build a strategic land business to complement its significant commercial property portfolio."

Stan Shreeve, land director of HIMOR, said: "Paul brings considerable experience to the team. He will help manage our existing projects and is also a proven operator with a track record of delivering new business. 2014 has been a very successful year for us having secured consent for over 300 residential units with a further 1,000 plots in planning. By the end of the year we should increase our land portfolio to over 1,000 acres."

Paul Stanley said: "[HIMOR] have some very exciting projects and are looking to expand their land portfolio. Although a relatively new player to the strategic land business HIMOR have already earned a good reputation. Indeed the business is in a good position having a solid balance sheet, strong cash flow and an exciting pipeline of future projects."

HIMOR employs 12 people at its office in Clarence House, Clarence Street.
